Bullfrog North (Executive) Ramp

Lots of pictures of boats launching off the north end ramp on Facebook. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ . Why not just concede and put the boiler plates in…
I agree! They are ticketing people for using a ramp that is clearly functional for smaller craft, and it would appear they will continue to do so until 3525' is reached. Put the plates in, "At your own risk" is fine with me. As if launching your boat is going to be the most hazardous experience you will come across at LP.

Yeah I launched yesterday there also I probably saw you. Looks like I chose wisely by going to the dirt launch and not getting ticketed. It went from dead flat calm all morning up until about 11 a.m. and then I'll heck broke loose. I barely got out of Bullfrog and into Halls Creek where I'm camping. 3 and 4 ft wave action Whitecaps blowing sand it sucked. I setup my 12 ft for the boat and I'm pulling it with a 300lb I setup my 12 ft for the boat and I'm pulling it with a 300hp Jetski. I think this is a first for Lake Powell LOL! The Rangers saw me they looked at me very curiously but just waved.

Caught a couple stripers this morning, had them for lunch today. Gotta run back to Halls with no service.....

I am hoping to launch a 24' Montery on Friday morning. It is a girls trip. My truck is an F250. I know you can not answer yes or no but did you see any heavier boats launching from the dirt?
Yes we are all anxious to get out on the Lake. We will be on the water May 6th thru 14th one way or another. Rented two slips and will run up from Page if necessary but I am pretty sure we will be launching at Bullfrog just fine. Nothing stopping the Austin Brothers Annual fishing adventure!
we are planning on going out on the 6th also, were do you plan to launch?

We decided to do the dirt ramp off the Bullfrog spur for now, hopefully they don't shut that down we will have 3 4 wheel drives, tow straps and a winch if needed. But unless it gets too rutted up otherwise unuseable we will launch there. If not I am prepared to make the run up from page.

I'll be there Friday morning launching as well and will be happy to assist if needed.. I'm sure we can get the boats in the water without too much difficulty. The help may be needed pulling them back out.

Thanks, I don't think that launching will be an issue. I have a tow rope with me, we pull out Sunday, thats what I am a little concerned about

I saw a pretty heavy old looking fiberglass on a dual axle it was probably around 22 or 23 ft come out last Saturday with no problem. I talked to a bunch of people nobody's having issues with boats up to around 21 or 22 ft. The other good thing is the water is slightly coming up so the water is entering dryer harder ground. It's not rutted up too badly. I think launching you'll be fine and maybe by the time you go to retrieve the executive ramp will be open?

I've been going back to check on my truck daily make sure it's not ticketed or towed I've got it parked right down there near the water. They did move the Dangling Rope cable that was holding it in place which is nice it's a little farther away from the dirt ramp they backed it up closer to the shore.

I'm retrieving the personal watercraft tomorrow the 5th as well as the folding boat which doesn't need a ramp. Good luck I think you'll be fine! There's a lot of other people there to help in case you had issues but like I said I think going in you're going to be just fine.

This is what I saw Saturday April 30th come out...

Saw these two photos posted on a LP FB group today claiming it is Bullfrog Exec ramp taken yesterday. Seems to be a dock in the water and some boiler plates on the left side of the ramp. Can anyone confirm?
