Bullfrog North (Executive) Ramp

I just launched off the dirt at bullfrog. I will go check on the ramp later. Probably 20 trucks and trailers. I launched a 23’ moomba wake boat no problem at all
Question # 237....was there any NPS personnel at the gates? When I went in March there was nobody, not surprising, but curious about now. If there was, were they saying anything when you paid for your boat? Brings up question # 238, if there is no "available ramp" why would you have to pay to launch at your own risk off the dirt? I know, I know....silly question, but someone had to ask LOL Question # 239, is the Mussel inspection station open?

1. Bullfrog North Ramp Will Become Operable at Elevation 3525 Feet: The Bullfrog North Ramp has been permanently extended but it will not become usable for small, motorized vessels until Lake Powell reaches an elevation of 3525 feet and for larger vessels once the lake reaches 3529 feet. As of April 28, 2022, the Lake Powell elevation is 3522.64 feet. Once operable, it is recommended that large vessels, including houseboats, only use the left side of the ramp. All launch and retrieval is at your own risk. Boaters should be aware that there is no turnaround area for houseboats at the ramp. To reduce congestion, please ready your boat before reaching the Bullfrog North Ramp.

And the news release goes a touch further on the wording....but doesnt answer any questions about NPS personnel at the gate, inspection station open, etc.

No personnel at the gate, and the automated machine was out of service. It asked us to pay online. No one in the mussel inspection station either. I didn’t see any NPS people at all, just a few Aramark people.

When we left Thursday, signs everywhere mandatory inspection....pulled into station nobody home..........

Anybody working the fuel dock...is it open?

Ok my turn. Just got here and this is evening of Saturday April 30th. People were retrieving of the left side (looking down) of Executive ramp. Blockades still at the top but on one there to tell you differently.

Then at the dirt launch at the Main Ramp peninsula there were tons of trucks/trailers parked down there and I saw several 18-22 foot boats coming and going out of that "launch". I have a PWC I'm planning on launching tomorrow May 1st. I will probably use the dirt ramp.

At last … the numbers! 3529 for houseboats

Just arrived….windy! Going to attempt at the main ramp, my brother just talked to the NPS Ranger, he’s ticketing folks that launch on Executive, but it was being accomplished…at a cost! Hope to update when we get on the water and to the HB….hope wind doesn’t effect our launch in anyway🤞🏼
Did the NPS ranger say when they were going to open it?

Should be no surprise that if NPS states in writing that the executive ramp won't be open until the lake level hits 3525 and one drives around the barricades and attempts to launch, one would get ticketed. Might cause NPS to ban all launching, even on the dirt, until lake rises. Could ruin it for everyone for the month of May.
