Bullfrog North (Executive) Ramp

Sounds good! Trying to leave about 1 Tuesday but planning on not launching til Wednesday morning. Staying at the lodge that night. I think we’re heading mid lake.
We're staying at the lodge that night also, so I'm sure we'll run in to you. We went mid lake last May, and it was great! I was very tempted to head that way again so we could see the Gregory Natural Bridge, but we're hoping to get in to more walleye up north.

We decided not to wait any longer for anyone in the NPS to give us some answer on the executive ramp. Took a chance and ran down to Bullfrog Tuesday morning. Went down to check the dirt launch, I waded out with a shovel to probe the area. The mud in the water is all rutted up from people launching. It is some nasty mucky sticky crud. The crud is 6-10" thick, the good news is the bottom under the muck is solid. It is real steep grade going to the water so keep boat winch attached and safety chain. There was a tandem axle lund trailer in the area, probably 21 foot boat, that gave us some more confidence. so we loaded up with camping gear and launched, never got our truck tires wet , a little spooky when you see that muck squish out from tires on trailer. Pulled out this afternoon after spending a couple days up North at Good Hope. Retrieval no issue. This is with 1860 Ranger single axle trailer, heavy boat for size. 3 boats showed up when we were leaving , so getting busy, only game in Town. No glory photos of all the fish we caught LOL, good hope is pretty muddy, but the walleyes did not seem to care. Water temp 63 degrees. So it is doable if you want some adventure, or you can wait for the NPS secret project to get finished.......

How would you rate the Walleye bite on a scale of 1-10?
I caught ten dozen crawlers the other night and I really want to give them all a free boat ride to GHB.

HA HA , we have had better and worse trips, with 1.5' visibility my confidence is not high, I would stay in cleaner water and you would do fine , "5"....

Awesome report, thank you!!

No... Not at all. There are still barracades blocking the top of the ramp. But where there is a will there is a way. Plenty of places to get around the barracades and very few people around and haven't seen anyone from NPS around.
If enough of that sort of thing keeps happening I'm afraid they'll shut us all out 😬
