Alstrom Sunrise 4/8/22

This time I have clothes on, but no Zinfandel!

I envy that houseboat at the mouth of Padre Canyon to the right of Gunsight Butte. I intended on Paddling this trip but the forecast the next few days is too windy to paddle in.

From April 7th coming into the Escalante Arm and at the end of the standing water in Clear Creek Canyon. There was not a breath of wind, the sky was crystal clear blue, and the water reflected the rocks perfectly. It was difficult to tell where the water ended and the rocks began. I had never seen nor even heard of that phenomenon. It was a little like encountering flat light while skiing - disorienting.

THAT is an awesome pic, thanks!

I shared it with a snarky LP friend and he said: 'Nice Pic, See, I told you Earth was flat'

He was kidding, (I think?) just wanted my reaction.....I told him I was more worried about mid lake fuel than what shape the Earth was.....then he reminisced about the Root Beer floats...

Desserts settle every argument.....
