Is there cell service at Bullfrog? If so, download an app call "onx hunt". It shows your live location and the ownership of the surrounding property, such as private, state, blm, national forest, etc. For the private land, it shows the name of the owner from the tax rolls.
FYI: you don't need cell service for Onyx maps to work. It uses the satellite part of your phone.

True just download before you loose service. I use it and I didn’t see any BLM land near the shores. But I will be using it to hit my waypoints. On way now to BF.

So just a thought here. You can still launch and go somewhere on the lake and set up camp. No problem there, right? So you could technically set up camp in the Stanton area as long as you accessed it from a boat? Here's my deal, my wife will be home with my 2 youngest and I will be at powell with 3 of my 4 oldest. I need to be able to pack up and head home same day if some crazy lockdown or problem occurs at home. I want to be somewhat fluid. So staying in the bullfrog area and being able to have service at camp and the ability to leave if needed is super important to me. I was gonna bring the travel trailer, but we could camp with the tent and I know there is cell service at stanton. Am I asking for trouble by camping in stanton by boat access?

Or you could just go to the back of Bullfrog Bay out of sight and camp there....

Washington closed all fishing because hundreds of folks ran out to the beach for the opening of clam season. They didn't self distance.

Right across the highway (west) from the south entrance station at near Wahweap and the dam is a dry campground about a hundred yards off the highway. Its good for about a dozen camping units. Today there were 4 there.

I just checked Lone Rock an hour ago and it is closed to overnight camping. Security concerns it said. Barricade on entrance side of road. I suppose you could go there in the day time but out at sunset.

When I camped in Stanton a couple weeks ago I had good service most of the time with Sprint. Some areas I couldn't get data but overall I had great service.

I've taken calls in the back of Bullfog Bay and Halls Creek Bay, but data was sketchy at best. I'm on Verizon.

Agreed, I have Sprint services as well. And for many years camping in Stanton it has always been hit or miss but I could always rely on it to get out a message.

Good input guys. I have verizon and have had decent service in Stanton and mixed service in bullfrog bay. can't remember real well where the hot spots are at the back of bullfrog, so thanks for the info.
