I don’t think NPS will be leaving any equipment at the ramp. Except the bulldozer they have there all the time. They will bring equipment down for what is needed that day and take it back to their yard. I don’t have photos but the boiler plate is now halfway down the ramp on the left next to that bulldozer. Guessing they are preparing for installing it. I don’t think they will install it until May1
Thanks for the info!! The fork lift and the excavator I believe belong to Brown Brothers, not NPS. 😎

The excavator was brown brothers but has been gone since the rock was put in. All other equipment is nps. All of brown brothers equipment is gone now due to them being done with their part of the ramp. All I can say is there is boiler plate. Park service has been down there preparing. I would bet that they will be ready for the advertised May 1 date. If not I don’t know why as all the material is at bullfrog and has been there all winter

I just heard that there has to be at least 10’ of water on the ramp for NPS to open I assume 10’ up the ramp Anybody have eyes on it lately. CO is warming up this week hopefully flows will increase but need a lot of vertical rise to get 10’ up the ramp. Glad it isn’t 10’ deep. We will sitting in-line to launch early 5-1.

BFEx. Hopefully that includes the screening and gravel they added. Any specific info on alternate launching site. We have 10’ long ramps if they would help in an area. Thanks we would have acouple of trucks with tow ropes to extend if needed. Thanks for the help

Bullfrog North Ramp Construction: The Bullfrog North Ramp has been permanently extended as far as possible, to reach a lake elevation of 3525 feet. The last concrete pour is curing. Use of the ramp will be dependent on lake levels reaching 3525 feet or higher.  Stay tuned for more information.

There is no mention of the ramp opening on May 1st or any mention of the use of the steel plates. I think some people are reading what they want to happen more than what is actually announced. Not trying to be the Debbie downer, but I think some people may be very disappointed if they are waiting to launch at day break may 1st.

Last 2 days it's up 2". It will take 15 days to get to 3525 at that rate. May 10th. I'm gonna call Vegas to get the betting line. My money is on a houseboat launch on 5/15.
I think the same. If the boiler plates go down small boats will be launching immediately. Houseboats won’t be able to launch or retrieve until mid to end of may

The last few photos, including this one, shows a set of tire tracks going out into the water (albeit rutting it up a bit)...gonna need plates installed, like NOWWWWWW LOL I'm getting antsy!

I will ask again anyone know of an area where people are getting boats in. I have seen the pics of a location with a motor home at. Anybody have the location of that spot.
Thanks

There is a path/road down past the old spur ramp which was past the original bullfrog main ramp. It’s like the inception of launch ramps… unfortunately that, like the newly poured executive ramp has a few misnomers and blurred truth behind its current state and access. Although there were pictures (on this same thread) of a huge boat successfully launching there. As of this minute it’s the spot we’re planning on using next Wednesday.

Also, I cannot believe how many views this single thread has received. Has to be a record, easily, 22k views so far ha.

People are launching a few boats off of the south side of the spur to the left side of the main launch ramp. It is steep and muddy. 4 wheel drive is a must and you will probably need another truck on location to help pull you out.
There is hope. Water is coming up. This is the ramp as of yesterday. Almost to the concrete. No metal ramps yet. But they were moved closer to the ramp since 2 weeks ago. View attachment 18077
Dschuster..... Your picture is deceiving at best. From that angle it looks like the ramp is inches from water. In reality it is 8 feet from the waters edge as of yesterday. This picture taken yesterday shows it more clearly. The water has a ways to go before we have wet concrete. 20220424_125228.jpg

There are 2 tire tracks off the end of the ramp. They compressed the rocks a good 6 inches and you can see when they dropped off the rocks they surely sunk to the trailer axles. 20220424_125228.jpg

This is where they are launching off of the spur ramp. The picture makes it look better than it is. Deep ruts in the soft mud. Looks rough. 2 empty bass boat trailers there yesterday that had launched. 20220424_140142.jpg

Without boiler plates or a lot more cobble it doesn’t look like they are going to meet the May first goal. 😫
Their goal was to complete construction of the extended ramp by May 1st. They did it. Too many people thought the goal was to have an open and functioning ramp by May 1st. I think NPS chose their words carefully and people either didn't read very closely or chose to read into it whatever they wanted to.
