Whaweep Houseboats are locked in at the dock

Idled to the end slip on the west side of B dock today. It has 20’ of water on it. I was nervous in our Hallett because the shore looks so flat but your depth finder is reading plenty of water. I can’t imagine taking a houseboat between the shore and the dock. I wouldn’t even think about it. Too many things that could go wrong vs what could go right. There is plenty of room and depth going between the tires and fuel dock though. Bill

The lake should have started filling last week but it is still dropping. The rate of drop has slowed. 3561.37 yesterday. Down .06' (3/4"). It was dropping close to 2" a day.
I remember 1 year there was a scramble to get a bunch of RVs moved to higher ground when the lake suddenly started rising in July/August. Massive storm hit.

I think I posted this in another thread, but my crystal ball looking at the inflow/outflow data and comparing it to past similar years (and by that I mean 2002, the only other year with an inflow pattern remotely like this year, which is historically bad), I don't think there's going to be a measurable rise in the lake this summer. It might flatten out by the end of May at 3560-61, but then start slowly dropping again sometime in the summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see it down to 3545-50 by September... This more or less corresponds to USBR's "minimum probable scenario" released on April 15... I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so...

I just heard that Aramark is trying to move the marina to the east but are having to do some work on the electrical that supplies the dock Sounded like they were having to pour new concrete to facilitate it

Wahweap did send out a text message yesterday indicating the power would be off for a few hours - which it was, then sent a follow up when it cam back on.

Looks like a scary whale just feet from the northeast corner of the breakwater. Part of it is exposed, but how deep is that other section lurking just underwater that can be plainly seen in the photo? Drop the lake 10 feet and move the docks a few feet to the east, and the space for boat passage right there is going to be pretty darned tight.

I will be there on Saturday for the week, working on the boat. I will be checking on the plan to fix things.
How does that work with Aramark regarding imminent blocking/grounding of a dock. Did they contact you a while back alerting of the danger? Where do they put the boats that are evacuated? Luckily, I'm on D dock. If it gets grounded, I would think there is no lake powell at that point....

They are moving the marina out another 100'. The power outage yesterday walkway clousure today arewas to due to extending out the utilities to the marina.

Contact last Wednesday, After the boat was blocked in. I can get my little boat through so I will be OK, but not moving the houseboat.
