My wife and I were just fishing around that island last Monday. Great to see it's now an actual island.

Curious what they are doing with Dangling rope. Are they repairing the foam underneath so it will float? Or does it look like they are finally dismantling it?
I couldn't really tell exactly what they were up to. Trackhoe boom was definitely staying busy and there was a fair amount of folks running around working on it, lots of banging & clanging going on during the couple hours I was fishing around there. Waters coming fast, I guess we'll know soon!

Probably forgot about it until they realized it would be floating again in a week. Kind of like me when my wife tells me to put my gear away and then warns me it will be pitched if I don’t take care of it right away.

Yesterday's (05/07/2023) Sentinel image was published on their Hub. Now showing significant changes near Lone Rock, and again those two bays north of the Cut. The north side of Warm Creek also fills up nicely as you would expect from its shallow sloping terrain.

From April 2nd to May 7th, contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data from 2023 and is processed by Sentinel Hub.

this is great stuff, thanks for sharing. I'm a north lake participant and don't know much about the south end but when the water level is high or normal does the body of water on the left connect across that gap to the one on the right?

Every 5 days Sentinel posts an image of the Lake around local noon time. This is done to minimize shadowing in the optical images. Yesterday's image (5/12/2023) continues to show the land near the South marinas disappearing, with significant encroachment of Lone Rock now. Bays are getting wider and the Cut is starting to be defined.

Of course, I'm going to pipe up on this one even though I haven't launched my boat yet. ;)
I wish I was talking about the Hite concrete ramp, but alas, it is the North Bullfrog ramp that I am referring to.
Here is the information I have heard this past week:

1. This past week (Monday) was the first time of the season where houseboats were allowed to launch at Bullfrog. I have spoken specifically with Offshore Marina about their launchings and they say they are going fairly well so far. BUT, the one thing that I found interesting is, right now, houseboat launching/retrieving is happening ONLY on the weekdays. They are still not allowed to launch on the weekends, which will really help with any congestion problems on the ramp

2. I have had several people with smaller boats pull in and report that launching is not a problem at all. I failed to ask about courtesy docks, but they weren't mentioned either, which I guess is a good thing.

3. And sadly, I had a guest from Telluride this week. There are still rumors that the lake is completely unusable. This guy thought Powell was a dead pool by now. His jaw dropped when I told him they are launching houseboats in the water and the lake is still usable. Get the word out. The lake is still here. :P

Hope this helps anyone going to Bullfrog.
Happy boating and be safe!
