Sailing trip with a few fish ️

I tried sailboarding a few times in Warm Creek and Crosby Canyon. The buttes and canyons do not make for nice steady winds. I would go from holding on for dear life and flying along to being backwinded in a second or two.

Pothole Arch in Rock Creek!

I don’t even know how I found out about this Rock Creek arch, but somehow I found it online and was insisting we visit it on our day trip last week. We asked the (extremely kind) young man at the Dangling Roap dock refueling our rental boat how much time it would take, and he advised us to skip this because of how close we were cutting it to the window of return (we spent way too much time getting to and from Rainbow Bridge). I convinced my boyfriend that even if we were late, the late fee would be worth it, and we ended up going to the arches and we were the only people there and were able to float around for about 15 minutes. We were right on time for the boat return (and we both agreed it was a site that would have been worth being late for).

These are technically not Lake Powell, but just upstream of Lake Powell along a side canyon of the Escalante... Just goes to show there's a lot of cool stuff in the area even when the lake is low... btw those corncobs are about the size of a finger...

Cool pics. a little hobby of ours looking for old indian stuff . We stubbled across this old stove / oven the rectangle at the bottom was to draft the fire it had cobs in it . Close to Powell.
