This is awesome, being in the Wahweap marina I miss this ramp a lot. It's so conveniently close, I can load my runabout, solo launch and tie off to the dock and park the truck and then ferry all my crap right to my boat. Often times I do it at night if we arrive after dark. It's so much easier than looking for carts or getting in a long line for a porter. I let my family go ahead and open up the boat. I enjoy the solitude, it's therapeutic after a car ride with kids. This is happy news!

Anybody know of any predictions for the cut opening?

Unfortunately the May 17th Sentinel image was too cloudy to reveal any Lake level changes, however the May 22nd image was clear. To no one's surprise, Lone Rock is now surrounded by water, the end points of the Cut are now more defined, and the bays near Waheap are growing significantly. It does not look like any of the slips have been re-arranged in either Marinas so far.

From May 2nd to May 22th, contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data from 2023 and is processed by Sentinel Hub.

Imagine being the FIRST lucky fella to launch on Wahweap, and getting the FIRST parking spot (past the handicap of course) I've been lucky enough a few times to snag that first spot. During Covid when Utah's Governor shutdown the lake, but we found a loophole as AZ residents hehehehehehe. Not seeing a single boat until Last Chance in MAY!!!! That was something

You are probably thinking six feet of safe water per the Wahweap numbers on the Lake Powell water database. It has been kicked around in several posts that the LPWDB safe operation water level of 3546 is simply wrong. Thankfully Wahweap opens Saturday so our anxieties can melt away.
haha yea that's kinda my joke.... the pictures tell a whole different story I know and I know that the data base isn't a 100% thing.. I as everyone, am just excited to see all the big green numbers.. although it is a problem for the people who don't follow this site.

yes we made a trip to Alstom point during April that year instead of our usual trip on the water and it was so sad seeing the water completely open made me sad

Someone claiming to be a Hall's Marina employee indicated on Facebook that they would be tentatively opening the launch ramp at Hall's this morning. If someone down there wouldn't mind looking at things and reporting back, that would be appreciated.
Any word if they'll put in the dock and tire barriers? I don't think the wife and I are comfortable without them in place. Afternoon winds can be a real pain.
