When do you think the lake will reopen?

David- I am with you. No close quarters crowding or camping but the ramps will open. Guess the two old rebels would miss out on jail then. Either way we will be at the Antelope ramp at 5AM on May 9th with a cordless angle grinder in the truck just in case. We already paid $1100 to rent a house. I am starting to think Covid will turn out to be a huge over reaction based on the testing and actual death numbers. We will see.

I have a trip planned for May 9th also so if the ramps aren’t open your angle grinder would be useful have they figured out how to do pit maneuver on a boat 🤔

According to this video, about 85% of people do not get covid19. The infection rate is about 15% and of those who get it, about 50% never have symptoms. This pattern is found on cruise ships, from random antibody testing results, and from studies done in different countries. It appears we have over reacted to the virus. It is time to get back to work and open the boat ramps.

Been married 38 year's, and she know's when I need a fishing trip 😁 I had made 16 trip's one year, and I told her I would like to go back, but I knew it was probably to many. And she said '' go ahead, I know how much you love it. I knew then I had married the right one ;)
 
I received a three page executive order signed by the Utah Governor, after reading it all of the state of Utah is is shut down until the order is lifted. When entering the state, your cell phone will give an alert with a questionnaire to fill out. Commercial trucks are exempt but may stop for services. Until this order is lifted nothing will happen, and also it will be up to individual counties. I wish I were on my houseboat now, but!!!!!

That "cell phone alert" lasted less than 24 hours in the state of Utah. It failed to work as planned and too many residents that live next to state lines were receiving numerous repeating text messages to go fill out the questionnaire even when they didn't leave the house. That's why I put the laughing face because it was a useless attempt to control the spread and it failed miserably.

Utah suspends border text alerts after problematic weekend

After a problematic weekend where scores of Utahns received unexpected emergency text alerts intended for drivers, the Division of Emergency Management suspended sending the alerts on Monday.

I delivered a load of straw to Moab wed and did not receive any type of alert on my phone even though I was expecting it. Lots of truckers are using the desert exit and entrance ramps instead of the truck stops. Can’t blame them a bit. Moab looked like the middle of January with NO traffic. Moab is in a delicate situation with the tourist trade and a very limited health support structure. Lots of infrastructure road work going on there now. Good time to do it. Since the Utah was one of the last to issue close directives statewide I think he will be one of the first to “reopen” the state.
