That flight from 'Denver' couldn't be that expensive......Sure, Sparky$60 per hour and you pay for the flight, right?
Right. This pic is 70 miles west of Denver. I will say there is more snow in my yard this time of year than the last 2 years. If we can keep getting these snows once a week until April and hold onto 95% snowpack, I think we could see 3545-3550. Remember, we're at the bottom of the "Martini Glass" so it wont take as much to bring it up 25-30 feet. That flight from 'Denver' couldn't be that expensive......

You are so so out of touch with reality!Right. This pic is 70 miles west of Denver. I will say there is more snow in my yard this time of year than the last 2 years. Thanks Ed. Very good article with great references. I live in Lake Havasu City now and have been boating on Lake Powell since 1980. The history and The Law of the River of the Colorado has always fascinated me. To get a quick background in those subjects and the whole point of the BOR projects stemming from it refer to Wickapedia on the Parker Dam, California River Aqueduct, and Central Arizona Project. Hoover Dam, and all other dams that have been built since, are to store water to be transferred, mainly to Southern California. That is the main reason our lake is kept full. The drinking straws for L.A., San Diego, Phoenix, and Tucson draw from here, and they don't work if the lake is not almost full. Lake Havasu is not that deep any way, around 40 to 60 feet in the main channel. An interesting overview of issues affecting Lake Powell water levels:

Lake Powell to drop below target level, a troubling sign for Colorado River - The Nevada Independent

There is a collection of laws, treaties, and Supreme Court judgements that govern Bureau of Reclamation decisions in a link in the above article concerning the Law of the River. I've tried to include it as a separate link, but I can't get it to work. It is very informative.
Still can happen...Next chance for more than the couple or three inches coming mid-week is Sunday/Monday 20/21. We’ve gotta keep snowpack at or above 90% so Mother Nature we’re counting on you! I’ve given up on reaching 100% this winter/spring.

Havasu kind of serves as the forebay for the pumps that fill the various canals, right?Lake Havasu is not that deep any way, around 40 to 60 feet in the main channel.
You’re not much of a consultant if you’re willing to settle for $60 an hour. Just sayin’…Sure, Sparky$60 per hour and you pay for the flight, right?

Exactly, Mulholland started planing this as early as 1924.Law of the River:

Ah, yes, what do you do about a troll who occasionally posts some useful content?

Does anyone know ... ?
Does anyone here know who's behind the 'Wayne's Words' blog? Going on there is akin to visiting a cult. They just can't handle hearing the bleedin' obvious that their reservoir is disappearing FAST. I'll say it here again - Powell will max out at 3520 after the runoff and drop to 3480 by...www.mountainbuzz.com
I've drafted a new version of the saying for the current state of snowflakery... "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but it's your words that really hurt me.".'sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me'
Now if those snowflakes would just melt and fill our lake.....I've drafted a new version of the saying for the current state of snowflakery... "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but it's your words that really hurt me."
