I miss John Denver haha. Bob Denver was a good mate for The Skipper for sure. But yes I'd love to join y'all for some ice, Tangueray and a topping of a good tonic water.

That flight from 'Denver' couldn't be that expensive......

:ROFLMAO:
Right. This pic is 70 miles west of Denver. I will say there is more snow in my yard this time of year than the last 2 years. If we can keep getting these snows once a week until April and hold onto 95% snowpack, I think we could see 3545-3550. Remember, we're at the bottom of the "Martini Glass" so it wont take as much to bring it up 25-30 feet.

You are so so out of touch with reality!🙄

Next chance for more than the couple or three inches coming mid-week is Sunday/Monday 20/21. We’ve gotta keep snowpack at or above 90% so Mother Nature we’re counting on you! I’ve given up on reaching 100% this winter/spring.

An interesting overview of issues affecting Lake Powell water levels:

There is a collection of laws, treaties, and Supreme Court judgements that govern Bureau of Reclamation decisions in a link in the above article concerning the Law of the River. I've tried to include it as a separate link, but I can't get it to work. It is very informative.
Thanks Ed. Very good article with great references. I live in Lake Havasu City now and have been boating on Lake Powell since 1980. The history and The Law of the River of the Colorado has always fascinated me. To get a quick background in those subjects and the whole point of the BOR projects stemming from it refer to Wickapedia on the Parker Dam, California River Aqueduct, and Central Arizona Project. Hoover Dam, and all other dams that have been built since, are to store water to be transferred, mainly to Southern California. That is the main reason our lake is kept full. The drinking straws for L.A., San Diego, Phoenix, and Tucson draw from here, and they don't work if the lake is not almost full. Lake Havasu is not that deep any way, around 40 to 60 feet in the main channel.

Havasu kind of serves as the forebay for the pumps that fill the various canals, right?

Bob is sniping at this forum over at Mountainbuzz (a whitewater boating site) as well.

Ah, yes, what do you do about a troll who occasionally posts some useful content?

Well, I like it here, and I like all the folks I've met here, and have gained valuable info and insights.

As for being called an A**hole?......well, I'm so used to it, it could be my middle name....o_O

Remember what we said as kids....'sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me'

It's water off this old coot's back.....

;)

Beyond that, the premise is all wrong if he thinks that people here don't think the lake is in trouble. Those who have been on this site have recognized trouble for the lake far earlier than anyone else and have been eager to see someone with authority do anything about it and have offered many suggestions on ways to adjust to the current realities. It certainly is nicer to be in forums where those that stir the pot just to make people upset aren't able to get ahold of a spoon.
