Snow

We are at our place in Silverthorne for the week. It has been so unseasonably warm up here. It feels like spring! The snow has been melting a lot. I hope this storm starts to cool things down a bit. Although I’m still grateful for the moisture!
Just finished a nice mountain run. It’s finally cooled off up here in Silverthorne. 16 degrees, right now and on its way to the single digits. It seems to be snowing on and off all over the place (ski resorts) with a pretty solid forecast over the next few days.

Did you have the camper on?
Yes, I did and thats what saved us, all 14,000 lbs. There was an idiot with a Guy Fawkes goatee from California that made a running start at one patch in front of us. He did three doughnuts and slide in the ditch. The pictures below show the squall when it was about to hit us. It had 40-50 mph winds and no visibility. I figured he knew what he was doing trying to make it out there two hours before dark. I had the wife and kid, so he was on his own. I know that these storms can be deadly, but there is nothing more beautiful than a storm in the desert. 9CD5F908-1B0C-4088-962C-8D4A55EC76C8.jpegA2DA7B50-6D44-4D7D-B441-735082E9FA16.jpeg

I never clicked it. I’ll never know what I’m missing and don’t want to. Usually I’m the one posting about snow, and when I do it doesn’t amount to much. So I’ve learned to not be the jinx.

I just drove from salt lake airport back to green river. The interstate closed early in the morning but I hit it perfectly. Raining lake crazy in the salt lake valley, snowing at park city and pretty dry through Wyoming. Hopefully it hits tonight!
