This is a great shot....
1) Father and son.....priceless (what us old farts would give to do that again with dads that have passed)
2) the thumb in Stripies' mouth is great. 'Sometimes ya gotta pacify your new catch'

The white stripers without much color that appear bleached out are normally found in deep or turbid water If they get out in the clear water and sun then the normal color returns. Just like us going out in the spring with white skin that turns red when we sun burn and then turns to tan after we recover from the excessive heat.

I thought it was fish lake. I use to fish it a lot 35 years ago. Not that small, she looks pretty happy with it
I saw a huge dead Lake trout floating there one year.

Yes and there are quite a few 20+ pounders in there. Also I've seen a 37 pound tiger muskie pulled from there.I thought it was fish lake. I use to fish it a lot 35 years ago. Not that small, she looks pretty happy with it

Not at Powell but it won the Arizona crappie derby in 2000 that was put on by Water Dog Willie's bait shop. Its weight was 2.92lbs caught at Theodore Roosevelt lake.I know KY Kevin is the crappie whisperer.
But, what's your biggest crappie out there.
I remember pulling in a 17 inch Black Crappie, * not this one *, out of Ticaboo years ago.
It was probably the prettiest fish I've landed at Powell.

When do they spawn Meatwagon? Its a really big thing on my bucket list. Not to many people are willing to give info on Havasu
Do you fish it? Would love to go fish it, would even be willing to pay a guide. But have never been able to find one.

When I had that done the guy told me he had had a lot if people tell him they were 2 lb Bluegill, and he said that mine was the biggest Bluegill he had ever mounted. It was 1 oz off the Utah record. I had never caught a pound Bluegill before I came to Utah. When I started fishing Pelican in 1983 they averaged a pound. And I all ways caught them 1.5 to 1.75 every trip. Monsters for Gilligans
. This mount spent several years in Ky, with my dad showing them off. We would catch 200 a day + on a regular basis, fishing three times a day. My dad was the king with a skulling paddle and a 12 ft Jon boat. He would never miss a lick fishing and controlling the boat, around pretty big lakes. I wouldn't even think about doing the man power now, he was a bad *** dad. We would throw live crickets and a Cork or Bobber as they call it here .
