I have not done any "custom" settings. All settings are for factory default. I read what I thought was all there was to read about how to set up the lake level base measurements and saw nothing that triggered a way to change the 30' that must be default. But I am encouraged by what you have shown me. I do have an owners manual but I guess I missed that. Will look again. Thanx Meatwagon.

The map offset should give you what you are looking for, should be able to minus however many ft below full pool, like -88 ft should get you real close at Powell today. Keep in mind that the map offset is what you set it at no matter lake you are on, it needs to be adjusted based on the lake and it's current level when you are there. I think you are right. My son in law has the boat in Vegas and I am in Pahrump,70 miles away so any effort on my part to get our boat ready for our 7 day trip to the upper San Juan is tough.. Hate Vegas so only limited exposure to our electronics. Very frustrating but not so frustrating to make a trip to SINCITY. Time work all this out. Advanced settings will put us where we want to be. fingers crossed. Thanx squirrel, hope to meet some day. I will have my ww flag flying.

Just like Meatwagon said, set it to -88’ and you should be good to go. The only other issue I had with m HB 859 is the “nav” card would come out of the slot. Just re-insert it and I reset the unit. You will love it. Sq

The thing with GPS sonar combo is I can scroll back to mark with fish hit touch screen on fish and instant waypoint set on those fish, very powerful feature. Other thing is with combo you can create maps real time, 1 foot contours, very useful feature.

Just a couple of the reasons I upgraded to 2 Hummingbird Onyx this year, along with the Side and Down imaging.
