Drove through Kingman, AZ yesterday on the way back from Powell and couldn’t believe how much snow was STILL on the ground days after the big storm. Unfortunately won’t help Powell or Mead but just crazy to see so much accumulation at 3,300 ft desert elevation.
I think any snow in the south west is going to help Powell, all the moisture from this last storm will help Arizona water needs and that's less that we'll need to draw from the Colorado River. I hope it fills all our lakes.
February was a record breaking snow month, looks like the storm track is headed further south this weekend (thank god, I love playing in the snow, but am getting tired of plowing/shoveling)! Looks like a wet system for the Southwest and Utah...
We got clobbered in Summit County CO over the weekend. 2 avalanches hitting I70 in the same stretch on Saturday, I missed the second one with my family in the car by about an hour. Everyone has 10-15 foot piles at the end of the driveway, running out of snow storage room. Exhausted from shoveling and snow blowing it all!! I'm about ready for Spring.
