I put my kicker on myself, it is very easy. I had to drill out the mounting plate for the bolts that hold the motor on, but since you already had a kicker, the installation should be straightforward. Mine does not have the remote throttle, but if you already have that it shouldn’t be a complicated task.

I have found the hardest part of doing the work yourself on boats is accessing the stuff, it usually involves contortion and a lot of swearing! A kicker is pretty simple…
It’s the kicking and swearing that gets me in trouble. Patience for things I want to know about but don’t know much about can be a challenge and are typically wear I mess up. Especially since I’m the one who caused the need for the work in the first place!🤦‍♂️

I think the mounting part would be the most straight forward piece. It’s the fuel lines abd push rods (?) for the steering that I’m guessing requires some knowledge. YouTube will likely solve the problem.

I would think you could use both the fuel line and steering linkage from your old engine. I had to put both on mine, pretty simple…and yes YouTube is your friend!
