An absolutely glorious day in October up Warm Spring Canyon. One of my favorite rock formations is in the middle. We call it the Hand of God.

We didn't see a spring. We turned around right about where that shot was taken. I have an aversion to prop strikes and we were starting to see stuff underwater. We have camped down that canyon at least 4 times though. It is one of our favorites. We never liked it when the water was high though since it is impossible to anchor when it gets above 3630.

Well, I can tell you there was no one there. The walk might have been about a mile from the boat. At a couple of points you had to walk through chest-high grass, but it was fine as long as you stayed in the stream…

How many times have I idled toward La Gorce Arch and had friends take their breath away when we turned the corner. At this water level it is quite a different view of the natural phenomenon.

Here’s a couple of good shots of the north end of the lake taken from the left side of the plane on a flight from San Luis Obispo to Denver…

In the different photos you can clearly pick out Smith Fork, Tapestry Wall, Hansen Creek and Warm Springs Canyon among other places…
