Executive Ramp Sticky

They said they’d been working 7 days a week for as long as they could remember and were happy to seee the light at the end of the tunnel

I spoke with Tony at Offshore. He tested the new primitive ramp with their houseboat trailer this week and found a grade change between upper and lower plates that caused the trailer to stick, so they need to make some changes. The ramp is boiler plate on river rock. They expect the changes to be done in a week or two at which point the ramp would be ready for service. They will not open it until it is ready for houseboats as well as private craft to allow construction to happen unimpeded. Tony said they believe it has 30 feet of smooth grade to allow launching until the permanent Stanton solution is constructed.

By the way, shout out to Tony and his crew at Offshore who had a generator sea water pump for me and helped me switch parts from the old one to the new. They really went the extra mile for me.

FWIW I don’t think that’s a fair representation of launching a personal boat. Their trailer is so much different and heavy duty.

I’d be worried about the axles and trailer tires on a personal boat.
 
I think it looks really good! Not sure it will be open today. Appears they're laying down some gravel and fine tuning, should be open shortly.
Exec ramp should be fine (at least for a couple more days) for a 26 footer. Be careful, watch your graph. :cool:
 
I'm planning a trip to the lake later this week, does anyone have any experience or knowledge about the boat ramp situation at Bullfrog this week? NPS lists the North ramp as open at your own risk and 4 feet below the minimum safe... has me concerned with a 24' FourWinns. Any new information on the the Main Ramp extension? It was sounding pretty promising late last week. I've tried calling several different numbers down there, NPS, Halls, Ticaboo...no luck getting a hold of anyone so far. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

A realtor from Grand Junction took here 25' boat to Bullfrog and launched on the primitive ramp no problem. You can read her report here:
