Click on a few of them - especially the ones you have never heard of (that's the vast majority). Then go on to others letters in the alphabet.

Time to use tax dollars where they were meant to be spent and not on groups who in turn fund one party over the other and in the process split the nation in half. The vets deserve our tax dollars and our thanks, not some obscure environmental group. Let those groups get their money from private sources, not the taxpayer. Want job growth and income to go up, stop the insane regulations placed on business in America. President Trump said he was shocked [when he started meeting with business-people] to find they were more concerned with regulations than taxes. Regulations are the driving force in sending our job to Mexico, China, Vietnam, etc. Thousands and thousands of pages in the last 8 years alone. And they not only affect manufacturing, but ranching... look at the stories of ranchers fined thousands to hundreds of thousand by the EPA because of ponds on their own land, told they cannot graze cattle on BLM land - never mind they have done so for generations and this grazing keeps down the undergrowth which can feed the horrid forest fires...... I am all for less government in all of our lives. I am looking forward to a prosperous America again - and for the record I do not blame just one party for the mess, both parties created this and are going to be drug kicking and screaming back to make the 350 million American's first priority over places like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc...

Thanks to everyone who has been patient with me. I consider myself to be very conservative. I do not understand some of the radical extremist posters on this forum. It upsets me deeply to see the selfishness and short sighted thinking of some of the most prolific posters so I try not to spend much time on this forum.

I know my earlier post was a bit far out in regards to selling off Lake Powell. But aren't there many people on this forum who want public lands turned over to the states? Isn't Lake Powell public land? Is it just certain public lands or do we sell off all our BLM and USFS? I'm confused and now preparing to be called an idiot and ill informed.

No, Lake Powell is Federal controlled property. They could lock us out tomorrow should they desire - like was done two years ago when the budget was not passed in time and rather than keep Federal buildings and parks open, the gates were locked to all Federal property and even the websites we all depend on to learn the water level at Lake Powell were shuttered for the duration. They can tell us the hours we can use it, how long we can use it and what we are allowed to do, where we are allowed to go without permits, etc. "Public" lands do none of these things.

My best freind is a kid ,that i helped get a D.A.C.A. card . Obama executive order Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. The first thing he wanted when he received his card was a fishing license .

If and when Trump pulls D.A.C.A which he has stated he wants too , They the government has all of the information on this kid . This kid has done nothing wrong in this country.
Trump wife is more illegal than this kid. I wont tell you what i think of Trump, it will offend alot of you, that i like to read about fishing on this site. . Congress did not shut down Powell. That was the Executive Branch.

And, for the life of me, I have no idea how you can defend the above statement. None.

I am not a Trump fan. Already growing tired of the battle between him and the press. And with the a small portion is throwing a tissy fit (blown way out of proportion by an extremely biased media), I am not sure he will make it through the first term. But I will give him a chance. Good idea [fishing threads]. No need for Google, I remember it well. In fact the budget was held up for the Affordable Care Act and the President decided to shut down all Federal Agencies and buildings rather than sit down and talk to the congress face-to-face. The new President has already met with the entire congress more since November 8th than the outgoing did in four years. This is how you run a government, sitting down to talk face-to-face. I don't expect I will like everything he does in the next 4/8 years, but so far he is off to a very good start and is already getting results people said were impossible. If our Presidents succeed, we all succeed, if the fail, we all fail... this is one nation.

Social issues and immigration have nothing to do with Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam, management of Federal lands, fishing or wildlife. Decisions made and the people who make those decisions [aka President, Interior, EPA, BLM, etc.] do affect these things are are appropriate for discussion. If people want to argue or litigate social issues/immigration then take it elsewhere, we will not go there on WWs. I have banned people in the past for using racial slurs and during the last 8 years I upset more than one person by not allowing this sort of thing re the previous administration or the one before it.. that has not changed and will not change. So if it affects things which affect fishing, wild life management, management of and the people who manage our beloved lake, the lands surrounding the lake and the management of the lake and people who affect these issues - then discuss away..... but leave skin color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and the like off this site. No exceptions.

Former Arizona State Senator Carlyle Begay was named White House Advisor on Indian Affairs... we sit right smack dab in the middle of the Navajo Nation, having someone who knows our area has the President's ear for a change is huge in my book.

I know my grammatical skills and spelling skills are woefully inadequate. I think I will start reading more, maybe that will help. I do wonder however if these new people are plants by a left leaning extremist culture to incite disharmony among those of this forum who love Lake Powell.
I, for one, support this POTUS much more than the previous occupant. I hope and pray that he truly does give the power back to the people. That would mean that places like Lake Powell might be run with more local input and less from those who may have never witnessed first hand the grandeur that was created by God and man. Can I get a "full pool" from the congregation?

I keep an eye on what is posted on anything other than fishing by new posters, have a lot of experience over the years with people showing up just to stir the pot. A lot of people wanted these posts out in the open on this new format/board, but it is one reason I had the Issues board closed on the old site, I kept people new to the board out unless I knew they were regular posters on WWs for other than anything political. If that is the only reason someone wants to post here, there is Facebook for that. For those of us who are regular posters on WWs and have fought these wars for 12 - 14 years we share our ups and downs, depending on who is in power at the time, but we learned from the Backpacker invasion over 10 years ago not to let things get out of hand here from people who only have an agenda. Our only agenda on WWs is fishing and recreation on Lake Powell, anything affecting the lake and her surrounds, and our shared love of Lake Powell..
