Crappies at Lake Powell

Where have you guys found the best buy on Hummingbird helix or Solix fishfinders? And tell me if this is a good buy. I can buy a Helix 12 and the Mega live for $4000 and get a $1000 rebate, so if I buy those and the 360 I'm looking at around $4300 after rebate, and that is with the mount for the 360. That is the best I have found, but if any of you guys know of a different place that is a better buy, please don't be bashful. I want to pull the trigger soon.

I bought my Apex 16 for 2850 off ebay and it was new in the box. I got my Apex13 used from a guy off market place for 3100 used with 150 hours of use. In My opinion you should go with the Solix. I have use the Helix and there's a big difference you will like the Solix way better. If you look around you can find deals on on a G2 Solix or even a G3 from time to time.

You guys are strongly confirming my opinion that these units are a great thing for your fishing buddy to have 😂

Sure. I would be happy to go with you. I am headed to Lake McConaughy in Nebraska April 17th to the 24th to chase the walleye spawn. Then I come back and head to St. Croix USVI for 10 days to do some deep sea fishing for Marlin and Dorado. I get back to Durango on May 7th. When I get back I am wanting to do a week or so on Powell. Thinking somewhere around May 12th of getting to Powell. I suspect GHB will be muddy and blown out by that time so I probably head towards The San Juan or Escalante or both. I will be camping and bring the GF with me as she loves to fish as well.

I will have been by then, and usually make a few more trips in that time range. Hopefully have a good finder by then. But I was joking about taking your boat. But for sure would like to meet you guys. I am going to the Juan instead of the muddy water, and probably Cha bay, and search from there. Its not near as important to have that better finder when there in to the bank in April and May but that rebate on them sounds like a good time to buy one as any. And thanks for the info.

And Dorado, I didn't pay a bunch of money for my boat, the fish finder will be all most as much as I paid for it 🤣
Bet you can't say that😂
But you usually get what you pay for:)
I'm building my confidence back up for buying that FF, LOL

Haha, I am just cheap. You will be blown away by the new FF’s, whichever one you get. I am wishing I spent a bit more for a larger display!!
