Downright scary when you see that rental boat coming right at you cruising along at a fast clip. Kind of takes a moment to process that this idiot is going way too fast for the cut. Fortunately, enough people were yelling at him to slow down and he complied.

Utah lake was 116%, it probably hasn't been there for a while. Bird island is probably pretty small.

I do in fact! Like watching the graphs and numbers on Lake Powell rise, it’s been very refreshing to see so much rise this season! The fishing however has been pretty dang slow!

However, it’s not 104%, you just have got your vision crossed with another lake 😂 but it is approaching 85% as of this morning and 11 feet until full pool.

Fontenelle is 90% or so but they seem to be wanting it to stay right there. I can’t blame them as any higher and it looks like it will overtake the highway on the north end, so unsure about the math on that one. But sure feels nice to have “money in the bank”!
 
Considering where many of them were at a year ago it's been a great start to the water year. I hate to see the inflow slowing down to Lake Powell and was hoping for another high flow surge but I guess that wasn't in the cards. All the upstream reservoirs took a lot of water to refill - some are spilling now but not as many as hoped for.

Castle Rock Cut Update - Thursday, June 29, 2023 - Elevation 3,582.69

Today NPS installed ”Cross At Own Risk“ marker at Wahweap entrance and green WC 11 marker at the Warm Creek entrance. No Nav markers, no Wakeless markers (but probably coming very soon).

Boats are passing through no problem. Better than belly deep at the shallowest part. Who’s going to be the 1st houseboat through?

Hey Kevin. They’ve open the bypass at Blue Mesa as is was going to go over 100%. Also opened one at Marrow point for same reason. About 6000cfs. Should be benefiting Powells inflow any days now

That's great to hear Steve, any extra to Powell is great as long as the water experts don't send it on down to quick.
Hope your doing good and catching lots of fish :)
