It would be helpful to a lot of people if there could be some regular reports and photos posted by someone in the Bullfrog area (NPS staff, Bullfrog manager) of the progress and findings (projected useful level) of the ramp construction at Bullfrog. Since it’s proven totally impossible to reactivate a webcam, those of us working folk trying to plan our summer vacations would sure appreciate knowing if Bullfrog is going to be a viable option after 7/4. Some regular reports showing construction process and current thinking of useful levels would be really helpful.

Sure enough to book a non-refundable deposit for a houseboat rental in late July out of Bullfrog? These seem kind of ridiculous when they cannot promise a ramp will be available, and the alternative means driving your runabout to Page to be able to launch, carry enough gas to get back to Bullfrog, and then repeat the whole thing at the end of your trip.

Count in the fact that gas is rapidly approaching $5/ gallon just to drive down there. I feel bad for those in April and May hoping to launch only to find out they wasted a couple hundred $ in gas.

We are gambling, trip planned for April 30th thru May 8th. We have a backup at Lake Roosevelt but we have been going to Bullfrog or Halls, mid April for the last 20 years. Sure hope we can continue our annual brothers fishing trip to Powell.

I was at Bullfrog this past Saturday -- At the north ramp -- was a load of boiler plate and an excavator at the top of the ramp-- But no dirt work yet -- I believe from a previous post that it is this week that they will start staging -- so let's be hopeful -
The end of bullfrog bay is perhaps 200 to 300 yards from the northwest buoy field (where my HB is till floating!) -- it used to be miles --

Following is update from March 3rd report:
Bullfrog North Ramp Extension Project: This construction contract includes regrading and permanently extending the Bullfrog North Ramp to the lowest level possible, or 3520, until spring runoff begins (typically Easter, April 17, 2022). For safety reasons, the construction zone will be closed to public access when mobilizing and staging begins during the week of March 7. The construction zone will remain closed until the last concrete pour dries. (The amount of extension that is possible will be dependent on the lowest water level reached before spring runoff begins, as no construction will occur in water.) This project is anticipated to be completed May 1, 2022. Use of the ramp will be dependent on lake levels.

I don't think we have the technology to build a boat (ark) that would hold 2 of every kind of animal on the surface of the earth (and 7 of some of them) either. Maybe it isn't a "technology" thing, its more of a will to do it and cut through all the red tape that would be required. The Empire State building was built in 18 months in 1931. That could never happen today.
I ate the 20%. Better than driving there to only find out you can't launch your fishing boat.

It's now past the May 1st deadline and I can't find any reliable information on the bullfrog north boat ramp situation.
I've heard possible boiler plates installed. Waiting for water to rise to 3525' removing coffer dam, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
