We were down shooting a story last weekend on low water that should air in about 2 weeks. On Sunday as we were getting our AIS done, I ran down and shot some video of the work that was being done below the Bullfrog Main ramp. I was impressed that there was a dozer operator working there on Sunday. They have a ways to go. When we were in the boat, we took a few readings of the depth out by this new potential ramp and in some places, we got as much as 65-70 ft around what at one time was the island and now, I guess would be more of a peninsula. I got back to work Monday and sent a few...
This is being done at the main ramp (that is not being used due to low water ). When we ask about it, no one says much of anything. Like the bulldozer guy is practicing! Really.
I felt this info was better placed in its own thread so that those wondering, didn’t have to sift through a full fishing report, if they were simply looking for ramp updates.
At the end of the ramp, you virtually flatline at 20 foot of water (underneath my 18 foot fishing boat) until you start to head around the breakwater. Pic snapped on April 6th at 9:43 AM. Lake level 3528.
I snapped it just as you start to climb out of the 20 foot flatline, towards the ramp.
I had 12 foot of water, again, under my boat. hugging the corner of the breakwater. On the way out I had 11 and...
We are headed down next weekend for our annual trip and was curious if anyone knows about the services still available there at Bullfrog. I know they moved the rentals and fuel dock over to Halls. I am assuming the houseboats and the slip rentals are still in place...mainly slip rentals as we have them reserved and have called for an update the last week with no answer.
Also, I see the water is up a few feet from back in 2022 when it was down at its lowest, so I am assuming launching on the executive ramp is still doable, correct? There was a post earlier about the "North Ramp" being high...
1- General. A lot more activity on Friday and Saturday than I had expected with boaters. Very limited resources by service providers at the lake. No one really knows anything about what is happening or going to happen
2- Campground. We pulled in late Friday night and found there was only one loop open in the campground. It was completely full and it appeared about 80-90% of the spots had reservations.
3- RV Park. Only 5 spots have service. The others are all marked out of service. Appears you need to have advanced reservations.
