Where to Go? South or North?

Just got back. Water was a little murky at Bull Frog, 6 to 8 feet visibility. Going north you start hitting wood debris in the water around Moki. The further north you go the more wood you hit. By just above Cedar there were areas of wood floating that would go from one side to the other. All sizes of stick from twigs to railroad ties. Visibility at Cedar was 4 to 5 feet. GHB had visibility of 2 to 4 feet all the way up to the horn, and areas of heavy sticks and logs. There were a few shorelines that we wanted to fish that simply had to much wood floating to fish you could not get the lure back to the boat with out catching up on something. Went all the way up to 2 mile last Saturday, was very surprised to find fishable water and no mud line! Had about 1.5 feet of visibility there. between 4 mile and 2 mile there were slurps and light boils almost every were. Must have been 15 to 20 within a mile either way. But, there was so much floating wood, it was hard to get your bait to them. Talked to a couple of guys who had launched at Hite. They said that there is a small courtesy ramp at the old Marina location and that launching was easy. They said that there was a definite mud line between Tychyte and White.
Walleye fishing was decent, caught 18 Tuesday in 103 degree heat? Stripers were hit and miss. If the fish were visible and coming somewhat out of the water, they were catchable. other slurps were simply aggravating. Saw slurps around the mouth of Cedar and in the three small canyons - cut on the other side and about a mile up, the bottom end of GHB, and up at 2 mile. Caught around 50 stripers for the trip. About half were in good enough shape to fillet. Were targeting SM bass - walleye and Crappie. Spent very little time chasing boils.

We ended up going south to avoid debris and what not and was a good call. The water was great and the slurps were up for most of the day. Didnt fish much but whenever we did we caught something. Fished slurps in Annie's, Iceburg, Rincon, etc....
