Wayne Gustaveson and Georg Blommer,

Congratulations to both of you, Wayne and Georg, on your retirements. Thank you again for hiring me on as an AIS tech way back in 2008. I really did enjoy that job and the volunteer work I did for both of you in the years since. I want to thank both of you for those wonderful memories out on Lake Powell. I would never had the opportunity to have the experiences I had if it were not for both of you. I learned a lot from both of you and it was fun to learn about the dynamics of the Lake including reading some of the intellectual reports you created as part of your job. It was fun for me to learn about biological life in the lake and learning about new organisms to me such as Daphnia and Shad. It was fun for me to see the dynamics between the two of you and it was my opinion that you guys worked really well together. As I alluded to both of you in the past, Lake Powell was a place of healing for me which was something I really needed in my life. Again and in general, thank you to both of you for who you are and what you have done. I will see you at your retirement party.

Brian Beames
Congrats to Georg also.

Thank you for all your hard work, you are the lake / the man. In my next life I would love to fill your shoes.

Like many have stated, we feel like we know you despite not actually meeting you! And, like many others, I was drawn to LP thanks to this website. Although I had driven up from phx a coupla times to play the golf course! That was before I discovered fishing after moving to Texas.

Reading your stories and reports has been a real treat! God bless you in retirement! It's fantastic!

Sorry to have missed it Wayne. I hurt my back and wasn’t able to muster the strength for a 9 hour round trip. When I’m healed up next time we’re in town we’ll take you and your beautiful wife out to Dara Thai.

It’ll always be your lake. And thanks to you and the efforts of your teams over the years, it’ll always be our favorite.
