Trout caught perhaps??

I agree it is a rainbow, relatively square tail with spots. The planters often lack the bright colors. Kokanee have deeply forked tails with no spots. Below is a picture of some 3 and 4 year old fish. They were caught in spring, you can see their heads are already starting to change into the spawning phase.
