Yes sir! I’ve been cold and dirty in a tent many a night, but not anymore. I have a camplux water heater. I got it off Amazon and the shower enclosure has a tarp attached for a shower pan. Works pretty slick. 10 out of 10 stars. 😂
We were there for 5 nights, these little comforts in the cold dark keep you from giving in and going home early.
Thanks for the information! I’ll have to look up those items. I’ve looked at the on demand set ups for boat camping in the past.

Yep, I’ve rented them before. I think they are more work than setting up all that nonsense I bring with me. Not to mention the $$. The only real issue for me is I can only bring one or maybe 2 guests.
I need a bigger boat, or maybe a second boat.
I was in the same boat... Upsized to bring more guests, but would never go back to the houseboat days with sleepless nights worried about anchors and changing water levels.

Great trip, pictures and post! I've been thinking about adding a generator to my camping setup to charge the batteries on my boat. If you would, could you share what size generator you use, how many batteries you're charging, how long it takes to charge them and how much fuel you use to do so? Thanks!

I use a 2000 watt inverter generator. Nothing fancy. I bought the cheapest one I could find, Sam’s club 350$. It sips the gas, and it’s pretty quiet. For the whole trip it used maybe 2.5 gallons. I don’t really know if it ever fully recharged the batteries, but I ran it for about 4 to 5 hours a night. I have an minnkota onboard charger for my 24 volt battery bank for the trolling motor. It’s nice to charge phones, have a real light in the tent and to watch a movie.
I wish this little generator would run my a/c for the summer, but it’s not powerful enough. For the summer I have to bring my 3500 watt, which sucks because it’s twice as heavy.

Awesome, thanks for the info!

Great Pictures , It has been almost 3 yrs since I've made it down to Bullfrog area. Can you park closer to launch area than yrs before? I'm a bit stoved up and don't want to walk a mile from my truck to the boat after i launch it, then walk another mile to get the truck. We like to camp in lope A then go out from there. We rented a slip the last I was there to save some walking but that has all moved since then. Any info would be helpful . Keep those pics coming makes me want to get the boat ready!!! Thanks

Parking this time of year isn't bad. The area above the "North Ramp" is open to trailers from something like 11/1 - 3/30 (I think those are the dates).

During the summer the walk is about a mile from the trailer parking area to our slip. Sometimes it is easier to unhitch the boat trailer and drive the tow vehicle closer to the ramp.

Rick, it’s worth mentioning that there are regularly rides given by us normal folk and also by the bullfrog workers. I am very able to walk the mile but have still been given rides by the employees.

There is also a number you can call or a radio channel or something to get a ride. I’m sure someone will post it here and I believe it was also posted at the top of the executive ramp last year.
