Does anyone remember floating OVER the 'crevice'? '83-'87ish we were able to boat beyond here past the big amphitheater on the left then up the canyon to the right a ways....was fun....but of course no gurgling waterfall in the cathedral.....
I think it was 2019 we went past the crevice and up to the next one, I would think about 3/8 of a mile past what is now the water fall. In the 80’s you could go over the one that stopped us in 19 and go a ways further to the third step. Bart posted pictures a few years ago of that canyon when it was full. (I think it was @BartsPlace)

Slightly off-topic here, but there are 5 successive waterfalls in Clear Creek as one heads upstream, the first of which drops into the Cathedral. It's possible to continue past in a boat once the lake reaches about 3610. From there, its just a few hundred feet to the second waterfall. It's possible to boat past that one once the lake is above about 3640. When the lake is full, you can just about get to the fourth waterfall. The attached graphic from my notes illustrates all this.
