Today might be the day, 0.00 rise yesterday. Great that it's almost August before the lake starts dipping and I have a feeling it'll be a slow drop for another month.

The BOR planned to release 9.0 Million Acre Feet for the water year 2019(which ends Sept 30). They'll be playing with releases to meet that goal for the rest of the water year, but I doubt there will be large changes in outflows as they are pretty well on track for total releases.

We will have to wait to call a winner for the contest. If the water level drops a little and then goes back up to a level higher then the level before the drop, that will be the new high water level. So we don't call for a winner tell the water level had dropped about 3" to 6" or 0.25 to 0.50 maybe even more of a drop. Keeping fingers crossed that this is not the end of the lake rising.

Driving back from Grand Junction, CO yesterday and was surrounded by monsoonal cloud bursts that can be frequent this time of year. Sure, they are nothing compared to the inflow of the Green & Colorado combined, but every little bit helps.

The drainage from the San Rafael just south of the Hat Ranch was flowing strong at 5:00 pm yesterday. Sorry, but didn't stop to take a picture.

PapaWhit took the plunge last night. Lake is up 53.07 and still rising. 90 of the 132 guesses are swimming. Keep the rain coming.
