Well, if you look at the last 10, June 18th data record, run off is usually starting to slow by now and last year the lake actually went down in elevation. Then you look at the snow pack report and the lowest is still 109%. There is still a lot of water in reserves up there in those hills.

Many people are going to take this splash and I'm hoping Hite's min. is one of them. ;)

Since on another thread folks are admitting to having a spreadsheet fetish about the lake level I'll add my confession here.
While I didn't get to enter the contest, my spreadsheets and calculations are close enough to the wisdom of the crowd average of the guesses at 3622.13 to say that K&M at 3622.01 will be the winner. I think the person who can still breath by barely sticking his/her nose above the high water mark should win, but I didn't write the rules, so I'm sticking with K&M
I'd love to see Tim Fortier win at 3638, but I unfortunately think that is just too good to come true.

Seeing how the weather is acting (70 degrees for a high in Hanksville on Saturday) and high elevations are still seeing fresh snow, there is still snowpack in places at 9000 feet elevation and the lake is still going up over a foot every day (last time it came close to that was 2011) I am guessing the predictions are just guesses at this point.

The way mother nature has been acting this year, I would not be surprised by at least one more monsoonal flow coming our way.

Said as a friend, I think and hope that your guess at 3622' will be wrong. :P

Since the cutoff date for predictions was made before the weather turned even wetter It figures most guesses are going to be low, but I don't see anyone complaining. I too am a water geek I try look first thing every morning at what the Lake is doing in regards to water. I looked back at years of history, looked comparable years, water levels etc and I figured 3610 would be great and a good guess. I saw that it was likely we had a wet spell coming and bumped my guess to 3615, which was pretty ambitious at the time and now that looks low which I hope I am !!! Keep it coming for a couple more years and don't send all the water downstream and who knows maybe close to full once again !!!
Mildog out

Looks like the outflow is ramping up, which makes the water on the ramp go down, eventually. There is still snow here in western Colorado to counter the releases.

I have not been swimming in the lake for a long time because I wait for 85 degree water or warmer. But it looks like I will be swimming sooner than that.... Brrrrr. I want the lake to keep coming up as much as possible.
You will have a lot of friends when you go swimming next week

I was gone for a few days and we had a couple triple splashed and 7 WW members went swimming. The water level in still rising over a foot a day. Still getting snow in the upper Colorado drainage. Getting a 50+ foot rise this year is looking better every day.
