Open for day use?

We all need to protest the State of Utah at the Bullfrog ramp ! Call the Media and have them film it and play it on TV in Salt lake! That will get some attention to the Utah Governor !

Actually quite a few of our lakes are closed at the moment. And the few that are open, are now full by 9-10am and so the sheriffs have been closing them at that point as well. It sucks, as I literal drove an hour and a half this past weekend to go to one that was open, only to be turned away when I got there because the sheriff didn't want to "man it" to have a wait lot... (there were 10 sheriff officers just standing there at the time)
 
Does anyone know if Wahweap has a no overnight camping (or RVing) policy in the boat/trailer parking lot? We tried to overnight one time on a late arrival at the Antelope ramp years ago and a security guard came around and told us we had to leave and couldn't stay there overnight. The reason I'm asking is since the AZ permits are day use only would they kick us out of the parking lot at night in an RV? The only other thing I can think of would be to go outside the park somewhere for overnight.
 
Thanks Wayne. I went ahead and called the Parks info line the woman said as far as she knows it's a "No". I was just wondering because when we were there the weekend the lake closed there was a big RV in the trailer parking that looked like they were staying overnight but who knows maybe they got kicked out that night. My other thought was to pull into the dirt lot across 89 from the Wahweap entrance where you get to the Ropes trail.
 
There is also Beehive right across the street from the south entrance but it is small and a 3 day limit but its free No camping allowed outside of the posted campsites at Beehive.
There is also a road on the left of 89 going to Greenehaven (there's a wide turnout southbound right there also on 89) that goes out into BLM land Its past the north entrance road but before Greenehaven. Its boondocking dispersed camping but RVs used it quite often last year. Might check to see if its open. I see quads driving out there all the time.

Maybe Beehive is the lot I've seen across from the Wahweap entrance? I didn't realize this actually included a campground.
 
Got the “local” sticker today via USPS. Here’s the Dash Tag (print from email) and the sticker that is affixed to the port side of the watercraft.9549F621-6559-4860-9698-CB6B66D6BCC9.jpeg
Accompanying AZGFD News Release states:

“...day-use access via the Wahweap boat ramp at Lake Powell in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area for any boat stored within 20 miles of Page, Arizona.”

“Implementation of the Local Boater Program will occur only at the Wahweap boat ramp beginning on Friday, April 24 and continue every weekend (Friday-Sunday, 7 am-8pm) until the NPS general closure order is rescinded.”
 
How does this work for those owners in slips at Antelope or other marinas? They good to venture up lake and camp?
 
I store my boat in page and have taken the mussel online seminar. This was 2-3 seasons ago and received certificate decal for boat and vehicle placard which helped during ramp inspections . The boat is stored at Antelope Recreation year round and is only on Lake Powell. I live in Flagstaff. Can I go out on the lake from Wahweap during this time?. Getting kind of confusing with all the chatter going on.. ... My wife starting cleaning the garage this past weekend, and was asking about my fishing stuff while eyeing the dumpster. Starting to worry!

Go to this link, click the Register Online link, provide your information and answer the mussel questions.

You’ll get an email confirmation right away. Then with in 1-2 bus days you’ll receive another email (if approved) with your Dash Tag pdf file to print. Then another couple of days you’ll receive the boat sticker by mail.

Armed with the Dash Tag and boat sticker affixed to port bow you’re ok to launch for day-use only (no overnight) at Wahweap launch ramp only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only until the Lake Powell closure order is fully rescinded. Antelope Point, Stateline, Lone Rock and all other Utah ramps remain locked down so the ”Local Boater” program does NOT apply to anywhere but Wahweap ramp.

Disclaimer: Even though I qualify as a “Local Boater”, I find this ‘compromise’ arbitrary and extremely unfair (unconstitutional perhaps?) to limit access to a national treasure (that belongs to us all) to a very select few.

Sorry Kentucky, I have no knowledge regarding slipped boats and whether they can have lake access now. Holding out hope this local boater limitation will last a weekend or two and the barricades/restrictions/marina lockdowns will be permanently removed lakewide.
 
I'm confused as well. So if I live outside the 20 mile radius and don't store my boat within that 20 miles but have this local boater sticker, am I able to launch on the weekends?

Watercraft can be launched at Wahweap on the weekend with the required Local Boater sticker and dash tag.

How one obtained a Local Boater sticker if his/her boat storage location doesn’t comply with program requirements is another question altogether...
