100% not many places left where you can unplug! My buddy and I were just talking about the need to get away from it while we were just floating in the main channel last weekend!I’d hate to see any kind of highway near say Hole in the Rock. It would ruin it IMO, that’s all I need to see is dozens of foreign tourists hiking down while Im anchored there trying to get my isolation on.
There are some places that are just not on the map as a place to or from anywhere, “out of the way places.” We have a few in Arizona and time has stood mostly still there. Towns like Duncan or St Johns come to mind and I think it’s their geography that holds them back. Bullfrog is the same way I think, you have to go there on purpose.
ESPECIALLY these days......you're spot on!100% not many places left where you can unplug! My buddy and I were just talking about the need to get away from it while we were just floating in the main channel last weekend!
I get the need to unhook but overall, the addition of Starlink to all the Laketime boats is a real plus, in my opinion, for the access it gives to several weather sites. We were caught in the surprise microburst that wrecked a lot of boats on Lake Powell several years ago. Now, half the crew has their phones on one or another of the excellent weather reports that we can get on Starlink. Makes me feel a lot safer on the water. We use peer pressure to coax the few crew members that get stuck in the phone trance to exit their affliction and enjoy the lake.ESPECIALLY these days......you're spot on!Funny how we wanna 'unhook' but yet be 'hooked up' (starlink) when we wanna be....what would our grandparents think?

You & I agree.....our new tech is wonderful....and useful....but yet another thing as adults we get to teach new generations is 'balance'....it's often easier to take a mouse from a cat than a phone from a kid......I get the need to unhook but overall, the addition of Starlink to all the Laketime boats is a real plus, in my opinion, for the access it gives to several weather sites.
