My brother in law has an 150 HP E tec on his 21 foot Bolo down in Key West. He loves it !
Unfortunately, Evinrude isn't in business any more. Parts might become obsolete.
Good luck finding an affordable outboard.

Those Etecs were awesome...

for the younger members of WW.......Ole Evinrude invented the outboard.

Seems he wanted to get ice cream across the lake to his wife before it melted, as he rowed....so he adapted a small motor to a propeller, put it on his rowboat, and wala......a Happy Wife...(a rarity, I know)

Any news on your boat? I am itching to repower or buy a "new to me" boat. I need inspiration and encouragement.

I just walked in from Padre bay. I go on February 25th to Mt. Vernon to do a two day familiarization trip. If everything works then I bring it back to Utah and wait for my helms master to show up. The guys at the dealership said that it looks like things are opening up as far as boat motors are concerned. They are now looking at taking orders for repowers in December of 2022. That is better than August of 2023 that they were originally telling people.

You haven’t found the peyote fields up the San Juan have you? I counted about fifty cacti a couple of years ago with several the size of dinner plates.

They are actually there, but I am not willing to assist anyone commit a felony. The hilarious thing is that they are not very far from the end of the rainbow. Who knew that leprechauns hung out on the reservation.
