43mph gusts here in Green River, WY last night and currently snowing hard!!! The Uinta are getting pounded. I saw a possible 36” at Kings peak…although I’m sure that was the usual “maximum possible” click bait.

Caverdan, please check in with us when you can!! Praying all is good!

We made it through the night in fine shape but there seems to be a boat in our bay that blew in last night. We plan to go check on them after breakfast, but they are bobbing around over there. It's an Aramark rental boat and I think it says S 40 is on its side. I don't think it was there when we went to bed and I know it's not a place to tie up to. Another added addition to our adventure with a mystery to solve.

Seeing a boat in the bay is definitely not ideal. What do the kids say? Not on the bingo card?

Glad you guys made it through just fine!

We checked on them and they said they were fine. Three guys on the boat parked sideways with a couple of anchor lines out. They did come in late at night. Mystery solved. Not how I like to park, but it's a rental, so no problem. Blue sky morning, light wind and the waves are calming down. Another beautiful day at Lake Powell! 😀

We had a gun boat in our bay today.

20260518_161759(0).jpgIt turned into a very calm day, temperatures in the 70s, and no wind tonight. Couldn't ask for a better end to our trip. We turn the boat in tomorrow and head for Durango on Wednesday to ride the steam train.

From our perspective at our boat, the late night arrival last night looks like he's parked just behind the big rock, but once you're out on the water you can see he's no where near the rock. Crazy.20260518_142635 (1).jpg20260518_142605 (1).jpg20260518_075054.jpg

Right back at you. I'm glad we were able to meet up. You and your wife have safe travels and enjoy the rest of your vacation. If you end up in Colorado Springs your welcome stop by and say hi. We have plenty of room (3 acres) so you can park your rig and plug in for a couple of days. Lots to do and see around our town. It was the first town West of the Mississippi that was built as a tourist destination, thus having Springs in the name. Reality is there are no Springs in Colorado Springs. 😄
