Lake is Open but Colorado isn't, SO...................

Thanks for clarifying -- I only glanced at the sign -- good to know -- Good to have another option as Stan's can get quite busy though I have admit they make great shakes !

Powell Bride -- Was at the lake yesterday -- sort of -- made it to Off Shore to work on the houseboat for the day -- There were plenty of RV's, ATV's and few Boats being trailered to the area with CO plates (were from Grand Junction) - I wouldn't think twice about coming when your scheduled

FYI- If you have been going to LP for a while you'll remember Blonde's in Hanksville -- than Stan's came along with a better "mousetrap"-- It looks like they are remodeling the building -- I only glanced at the sign but it appears to say something about rooms ??

In any case have a great time later this month !
The old Blondies is getting remodeled and it is looking great inside. Doug and Katie are the new owners and they have every intention of opening up for business this season.

The menu will be Mexican based. I'm trying to talk them into keeping the Rueben but I don't think they are buying the idea. haha. I did serve them up my famous Huevos Rancheros this morning so maybe you'll see that on the menu too! YUM. But as far as what will be on the menu, that is still the big mystery. I think they are toying with many Mexican based menu items. We shall see.

The new name is the "Outlaws Roost". No "Robbers" is in the name. Don't want any confusion from misinformation. I will talk with Doug and Katie to see if they want to chime in and avoid any rumors that may pop up.

Ok, so back on topic. We have been seeing plates from all over the place for the last 3 months. Even as far away as Connecticut and New York State. Many first timers to this area too. I can imagine the 15th is going to be a busy day!

Happy travelling and boating every one! If you don't need my services, honk as you go by. :)

I sure hope I don't need your services on the way down late on the 14th but I'll honk as I go by. It'll be after dark and my horn is a train horn! 😉

Thanks Dave- Like I said, I passed quickly and what looked like the word "rooms" is quite obviously Roost from your pic ! Make sure the new owners create a NEW post so that we can give them our support !
Already texted them and waiting for a response. I do hope hey get on here and give some details. They are great people with a huge dream for our little Oasis in the middle of nowhere.

I figured the last thing a new business needs is people to be doing searches for the wrong name and information. I'm pretty sure they are sticking their life savings into this restaurant a just want the real information to get out so they can make it.

On a side note, I can see the "rooms" confusion on the sign. For a couple days (or so) it wasn't painted and everything was the same color. I had to take a double look after it was painted too.

I posted the picture to clear up any name confusion and to also give a visual for what to look for, just in case someone doesn't know where "Blondie's" was located.

I'm hoping the food and service will be GREAT!

Perfect. The month old calves may not like it but on your way back, if during the daytime, stop by and pet the baby calves. Kids and adults both love them. lol

We trailered a boat from Gunnison CO to Grand Junction on April 30. Saw plenty of State and County cops but they took no interest in us.

We honked at the horses this afternoon across the road from your place. They seemed to be very interested in the traffic going by. The white one waved his head.
Stans was very busy with more desert type folk than the usual boaters. That will change quickly.
There were probably 75% green plates at Exec Services lot this weekend. I guess Stay Home is for those that weren’t opening their HBs this weekend. It was nice to see people out and about again.

Carolyn and her husband are great!! We couldn't believe the variety they had IN STOCK. On our way home a few years ago, we stopped at Hanksville for a beverage and bio break, and checked the trailer hubs as is our practice. HOT!!! Looked over and saw the sign for Kiteley's. Had a nice lunch at the SlickRock grill and we were on our way again. We were so impressed, we plan to schedule any future regular service with them on the way to/from the lake.

Just a tiny bit more info. We have several customers who have us check and service hubs while they are on the Lake. Call for details. 😊
