Just a heads up concerning Wahweap bay and the marina.

I'd be willing to bet it will be rebuilt. The boat I was partners on was rebuilt after it sank. And there is a thread somewhere on here about that happening to a boat that went down in Halls (I believe it was called Serenity).
Yes sir. That’s my boat. The President of the ownership group bought it from the insurance company for $5k. Of course then proceeded to gut and rebuild which was t cheap I am sure.

Can you kick the Wahweap web cam while you are near it? :)
Wish I could do something meaningful to help. If they'd let me, I'd go up myself and give it a go.
Hell, I look at it all day long while I'm here. This is the view from the back of my slip. It's on top of the restaurant on the hill.

I guess if they keep moving it toward shore, till it bottoms out, do this every other day as the lake rises...then eventually the lake drops, it sits on bottom until fully exposed...does that make easier salvage possible? Been in the water so long, can it even be revitalized?

That sounds like a decent plan, actually.

My wife and I were wondering if there is any semi official count of sunken houseboats at Lake Powell? Does anybody keep track?

Maybe it’s really a submarine
In disguise and malfunctioning or hit by a small exotic torpedo hmm what can I say sometimes you feel like a nut sometimes you don’t I guess I will eat my almond joy!

That Wahweap pump out was really getting a workout this morning. Counted 4 houseboats and a Cruiser tied off and at least 1 more houseboat waiting for a spot.

The sunk houseboat is still there but it’s far enough out and off to the side that it doesn’t seem to be impeding access to the pump out much.

We dumped at the Mailbox Rock toilet. Around the corner from Padre. The mailbox fell probably 30 years ago, some of you probably remember it. I cried as a kid, funny the things that strike you.

The pump out hoses were missing, but the Porto dump was working as was the water hose. Smelled like it was getting a real workout, but wasn’t full yet. Lots of people dropped off to use the facilities while we were there. Still the best use of our funds on the lake.
