It's starting

We were in the marina Thursday-today doing spring cleaning on the houseboat and I was shocked at how empty it was! I did try to take my kids to Horseshoe Bend and upon pulling up and seeing that it cost $10, I turned around. I guess that’s how long it has been since I was last at that spot…..

So Memorial day is a week away, and the rich folk are reserving 'their' spots. On one hand, I don't like that, on the other hand, well, in theory they could have their houseboat in a spot for up to 30 days. So really, is there a difference to other boaters? :unsure:
What say Y'all? How do you feel about this trend? :unsure::unsure:

I have mixed feelings. Certainly easier than digging in. Probably safer in the wind? I suppose you could pull up into the spot and not use the bags? But that would be repaying rudeness with rudeness. Is there a time limit between bag placement and use? And look for the WW thread Beach Bag mess. Is this the last year of a three year trial?

I see some plastic crap sitting on the beach that shouldn’t be there.
Hopefully TrashTrackers come by soon and pick them up for the dumpster.
 
True story:

yesterday had lunch with a non boater friend (yes this occasionally happens). he knows I love our lake, asked if I was going soon.

I mentioned 'beach bags' being a problem this Memorial Day.

Having no clue about our terminology, He actually thought I was referring to 'old bags'......literally old women....on Lake Powell beaches...... 🤣 🤣

Three things became quite clear:

Context is so very important in all human interaction

Tide does remove the coffee stains from your shirt...(y)

The universe has a great sense of humor.....and provides said detergent....:cool:

Wishing you all a fun safe holiday as we honor our fallen heroes.....🇺🇸
