boat escalator in action. fast forward to minute 1:00
A break-water made out of tires like they have around the marinas. One solid line right up the middle through the strait. Uplake on one side, down lake on the other. The idea of a wave dissipater (is that a word?) along the walls of the Maytag Strait is interesting. Something that floats against the wall and moves up and down with fluctuating lake levels. Painted to match the walls for visuals. A shallow angle facing the channel so the waves don't "reflect" off the existing 90 degree walls of the canyon.
You guys may think I'm kidding about all this but if you've never experienced the Maytag Straits in the high use times of the year they are absolutely miserable.
And we may be facing this for a LONG time to come. This board has a lot of incredible minds on it.
We should brainstorm this.
It's about 4.5 miles from Wahweap to the wakeless of APM and about 5 miles from the north end of the APM wakeless to the entrance of Warm Creek.
Even if "only" one side was done that would dissipate 50% of the waves.
Easy fix Just pass through the Maytag at 3 AM!!! It can be done
Maye get a night vison rifle scope and use it to help you get through.
Use two and you have NVG googles or better yet just get NVGs like those used in night ops rescue helicopters.

100%Never said you could be stupid and survive
It can be done safely but slower We're talking house boats not ski boats at ski speeds at night.
I know a guy who beached his wake boat 3 years in a row on whales in the day time
Stupid is as stupid does.
Speaking of trucks sinking--give this dock a try.By the way here’s a picture of the bottom of the APM Public boat ramp. There is nothing that can be done to “develop” this. It ends in a cliff. Yesterday’s picture:
