Houseboat grey water discharge to lake

I agree with POK3s, our last Aramark rental, 2-years ago, discharged the gray water directly into the lake.
I was starting to think maybe I was incorrect and the water I see being deposited into the lake was from the air conditioner??? Maybe we were both initially wrong or maybe they are actually discharging the grey. I guess I didn’t pay enough attention.

There may be exceptions I’m unaware of but generally speaking all commercial rental houseboats on LP have self-contained gray and black tanks.

Most houseboat generators are cooled by circulated lake water so it might be the generator cooling water often witnessed going overboard.

All buckets get dumped back in the river but are strained through a mesh strainer to catch any food solids. Those solids are thrown away in the trash bag.
I did not know the solids were strained and thrown in the trash bag.

Our houseboat discharges all gray from showers and sinks into the lake. I don’t see this as any different than camping.

For the people who believe gray water should go into a tank and be pumped out, what’s the main concern? Food scraps? Soap? Other potential contaminants?
