Houseboat grey water discharge to lake

I'm in the market for moving to a newer houseboat on Powell. The houseboat I am on now is a 1991 Summerset. It has black water tanks of course, but the sinks and shower (grey water) discharge directly into the lake. But the published NPS regulations prohibit this discharge of grey water directly into the lake.

I think I heard that there was a "grandfather clause" about older boats being allowed to put grey water directly into the lake. Is that true and for what year or age of boat? With the lake level low and getting lower, will there be further restrictions for maybe the marinas, even on the older boats to not allow grey water discharge into the lake while in the marina?

For the rest of us, PLEASE put another tank on your current boat!
