Treetop, I would gladly take you to catch a Crappie this coming spring. Sound's like you have been to Powell a few time's, and I'm serious, I would like to take you to catch a Crappie.

Wow kyKevin, that’s a very generous offer,
I was just having a little pity party, not fishing for an invitation.
BUT, since you’re such a stand up guy, and always helping people, I’d love to go crappie fishing with you in the spring.
I have your cell number already, so I’ll put it on my calendar to call you around the first of April, and we’ll see what will work.

Sound's good, might even be before then, if we have a good March. I'll be ready for spring, and Crappie fishing by then.

According to our electrofishing and gill net samples we had a bumper crop of young crappie produced in 2019. They will not be big enough to keep next spring but they will give you an idea of where crappie hang out. Now its all about having one more high water year to allow the young fish to survive and produce a great crop for the next few years. Lets hope for one more big runoff to fill the lake above 3625 once more.

Maybe I should just hope for not having a spring without runoff where the lake does not come up at all. If the lake level stays above 3600 the crappie should be happy and grow well.

Hey Kevin! Its been a while. Nice trip! I really need to get down there but probably cant until spring. I bet those humps in stiper city are loaded.

Hey Tim, it has been fun, I would have been back at least 2 more trip's, but my Mother in law's not doing well. But winter fishing should be good for these fat Striper's.
Let's get together again for a trip.Have a good one.
KyKevin
