Government Shutdown

I'm not saying I don't believe you, but if that was really the case, that is one of the most absurd things I have heard. Doing that would likely take as much or more staff as keeping the park open.
I had friends launching on the Grand Canyon the day after the shut down started. Lots of pictures of full on military grade weaponry, ramp guarded 24/7, and they were denied their trip with rafts sitting rigged and ready. A one month vacation saved up and scheduled, years and years on the waiting list, food packed etc. made no difference. They were not allowed to launch and had to return the following year. THAT is what happened at the last shutdown. I can't tell you how mad it made me and I said it before and I'll say it again: if we voted out every single congressman and senator that was in office and let that happen it would never happen again. Unfortunately people have a very short memory. Lol OK that was my rant for the year.

TR - (for the record I liked the rant) what makes you think replacing one Humpback Chub with a new Flannelmouth Sucker (congress and senate) would change the culture of the American politician?

I can appreciate what everyone is saying but the American politician doesn't work for the people anymore, they don't care what we really think or feel.

1861-1865 if you had a problem you could go to the White House and meet with the president and voice your opinion face to face. When did the American politician become a 'rock star'? When (and why) did we start treating them like celebrities?

FDR? JFK? Citing the 4th Amendment?.....it is all probable cause. It is so subjective, what 'sane' citizen is going to challenge the FEDS? Go against a stacked deck of the federal judiciary system?

I think it is a joke to 'think' the government cares about anything more than themselves, re-election and building their retirement slush fund.

Just seen a news release, voted to not shut down for the next week. I am my so the camp ground office to pay for my site for the next week. :):):):):)

Hey Wayne, headed for Bullfrog Sunday for a strictly walleye fishing trip. Any updates would be appreciated.

We have had 2 tagged walleye show up in the past week. Both came from the Bullfrog area. Walleye fishing is better at Bullfrog than it is at GHB. One was caught on a
jig with a plastic shad bait, no worm. I am waiting for the fish report on the 2nd fish but it was caught in Bullfrog Bay where most fish were tagged last year.

This next week when the temperature heats up will mark the beginning of great walleye fishing in the Bullfrog Bay to Stanton Creek. I will post a detailed walleye techniques report on Tuesday if you can take a look at that.
