She or He was very comfortable hanging around the houseboat. Probably because of the huge shad school back there.

Male and female great blue herons are virtually indistinguishable... although the males are slightly larger. But this one is likely an adult, not a juvenile (the more upright stance gives it away). And an average adult stands just under 4 feet tall...

Beautiful picture of Peek-A -Boo. It’s been a long time since I’ve done that hike. In July 2021 the water level was too low to have access to the start of it. Looks like you were successful.
That Wahweap cam is awesome on full moons!! Isn't it SeaLegs??? Great timing. We'll get the "FULL" Monty tomorrow night!!!!!!
