So the road is just east of Escalante, so 2 1/2 hrs probably and newspaper rock is another 3 1/2 hours so I guess you are a ways away. I thought you lived near dove creek Colorado. My mistake.

I live in Dove Creek. We took a quick trip over the Abajo Mountains to Newspaper Rock a few weekends ago. I've never figured out why ancient graffiti is awesome and modern graffiti is terrible.
 
How do you know there were "no racial or suggestive overtones"? I'm bettin' some were makin' fun of sumbody or sumting.:LOL:

And don't get me started on all the ancient graffiti porn: A five minute internet search will yield copious amounts such as:

Those Ancients were a wild bunch ya know which is why we all must strive as hard as we can to become more evolved. And I guess to some, spray cans are very evolved
