Hi all -

I had to break this thread up due to some size limitations. The respective posts are in new threads grouped by the year they were posted.

A few from a hike up Tapestry Wall, August 2019. Lake level was just a shade under 3622. The landing spot for starting the hike was at the south end of the wall, in a small cove, directly across from the mouth of Knowles Canyon...from there it's about a 2 mile hike to the top. The trick is finding your way around all the small drainage inlets, which means heading a bit inland first before getting to the top of the wall on the soft Carmel rim... From the top, there's great views both north and south, with the mouth of Cedar Canyon directly across, and Knowles Canyon across the lake about 2 miles south. Behind you, there's great views of the Henry Mountains... The first picture of Tapestry Wall is taken from the mouth of Cedar Canyon. It's essentially the opposite view of the fourth picture, which is taken toward the mouth of Cedar Canyon from the top...19-08-05 Tapestry view 3622.jpg19-08-04 Tapestry landing 1 3622.jpg19-08-04 Tapestry hike 9 3622.jpg19-08-04 Tapestry hike 5 3622.jpg19-08-04 Tapestry hike 6 3622.jpg19-08-04 Tapestry hike 12 3622.jpg19-08-04 Tapestry hike 11 3622.jpg19-08-04 Tapestry hike 16 3622.jpg19-08-04 Tapestry hike 17 3622.jpg
