Bingo! That shot is taken from the top of Cummings Mesa, looking down on Wetherill. Access to the top was from a scramble hike up Dungeon Canyon, maybe 5 miles from the lake, then maybe a mile across the top of the mesa...

I've wanted to hike Cummings Mesa for many years now but I've never done so. My understanding is that there are a lot of P2 ruins up there. Did you see anything interesting besides beautiful scenery?
Eric

#1 pic is right--looking into Wetherill from the mesa top.
#2 pic you're close--it's in Bishop Canyon, the first fork to the right off Willow.
#3 pic is not in West Canyon, but looks like it...actually in Fifty-Mile...

Didn't see any ruins on the mesa top, but doesn't mean they aren't there... but mostly spent time walking the edge overlooking Wetherill, which was a great way to spend the day...

@Bill Sampson , one of our first Weimaraners should have been able to pass for a water sports "observer". He would sit in the back of the boat, and watch whoever was behind it. As soon as they would fall, he would run up to the bow. I have a photo of him somewhere watching my wife ski, but that is now 9 + years ago.

The worst thing about dogs is that they don't live long enough.
