The beautiful picture of potty arch in the middle was taken by my brother Dave on in April 2014 when the water levels were low. The same trip we also saw the real Cathedral in the Desert which is normally covered by water. The slot is West Canyon several years ago, one of the funnest hikes we have ever done.

@linnell I tell people that the lake is too busy year round (and pretty much empty, lots of rocks to hit, white walkers......). My suggestion is for everyone to stay away.

The old Crownline and a buddies Nautique heading out for a trip. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it.

Many years ago (on the old brown website), Wayne and others would post a "good morning" pic and WWers would try to figure out where it was at. This thread reminds me of that. It is amazing how difficult it can be sometimes, despite the hundreds of days some of us have spent at the lake. For instance, JCR's 1st pic (#753) above sure looks like the NE most finger of Neanderthal or Dove, but I'm not sure. Ryan's pic (#743) from 05/06 almost looks like Deep Canyon, but it's too wide and there would be a partially submerged tree where the boats are, so I have no idea which canyon that is. At least I know Chris M's pic. Mars sure is beautiful!

The 1st and 3rd photos from #753 are right next to Dangling Rope (down-lake side). The 2nd photo from #753 is near the entrance to Wetherill Canyon.

Bingo! That shot is taken from the top of Cummings Mesa, looking down on Wetherill. Access to the top was from a scramble hike up Dungeon Canyon, maybe 5 miles from the lake, then maybe a mile across the top of the mesa...
