I WENT BACK LAST WEEK. Most fish are at 80 feet. no big school like before, but they bit the whole time we were there. a few at a time. we caught 155 in 3 outings, 3-4 hours each outing. couldnt fit all the fillets in one RV freezer! Was there yesterday. “Big Whale” if you’re referring to the flat-topped rock near Hall’s Creek buoy is about 6” down. Clear if you’re looking for it.
Went to the spot listed above - did not see any significant number stripers together. But was scouting, not really searching.
How deep did you fish? Is this typical? We caught 8 2 1/2 lbs in what I think is Stanton Creek about 30’ down in 42’ water.
Are we looking too shallow?
