BULLFROG RAMP CONDITIONS

As of yesterday, the level was at 3564.2 ft MSL. It has been falling at 1 foot/week for the last 4 weeks. At this rate, the lake level will reach 3560 o/a May 16th. Historically, the runoff reverses that around the last of April/first of May. Over the past 5 years, the lake level has risen back up to at least 3611 ft MSL by June 20th. History suggests that 3560 will not be reached this year, but it could happen. The last time it went below 3560 was in the Spring of 2005. It hit 3556 that year; one foot from closing ALL Marinas on the lake. Was anybody here using the lake in March/April 2005? Do you remember if any/all of the launches were closed?

I remember launching our 21’ stern drive at the main Bullfrog ramp in 2005. They had those steel plates(?) on the dirt.

Pretty sure that we pulled out on the dirt in Hobie Cat.

Here's two photos of a houseboat launch off the steel plates to the south of the main ramp at Bullfrog at about 3558 feet of elevation, 4/22/2005. This is just to the south side (left) of the main ramp. So not all of the launches were completely closed.

I remember watching them retrieve houseboats at the Wahweap launch ramp off of steel plates. It was interesting to watch.
